What is Growing Together?
Growing Together is a public art installation created by RoxAnne Trujillo and funded by the Ventura County Arts Council. This project started in March of 2025, before being approved and funded in March of 2026.
This art project’s intention was to unify artists and community members under one project, raise awareness about art accessibility and inclusivity, and empowerment of individuals.

How we make the arms.
Our process for creating the arms is first creating a mold casting of a person’s arm out of alginate.
Then after the alginate settles, we then pour quick setting plaster into the mold to create a one-to-one recreation of the person’s arm. After that, the person decorates their arm as they see fit.
Lastly, they are coated in a thin coat of glaze to seal in the paint.
